Tax Paperwork

For those getting paid.  Feel free to print and fill out the following forms and bring them with you (or look them over with your parents to be filled out upon arrival).

1.  Federal W-4 (first page only)

2.  Illinois W-4 (second page only)

3.  Federal I-9 * (first page only)

4.  Direct Deposit Form **

 

*We will also need to make copies of the Social Security Card (or Birth Certificate) and a State issued ID (Driver's License or School ID)

**All employees will be paid via direct deposit (no physical checks); to be paid twice a month.

Support Raising

As a requirement for those being paid, you will need to help us in our fund raising efforts. The act of asking for support can seem daunting but this provides opportunities for others to invest and partner with the ministry you are doing. We want to make it as easy as possible.  You can write your own letter with the information we give you or you can give us the information we need and we can format the letter for you to proofread.  The camp will help you create, print, and send a letter for you; all we need is some information from you. Here is what we need:

 

1) list of names with mailing addresses: it is best if given in an excel or google sheets form, however, we will except a word document, or written down on paper.  We are asking for 30 names with addresses.  

2) you can write your own letter using the template given or we can plug 

information about you to put into a brochure style letter (as depicted below): The main questions/information we need for a letter are:

a) what has God been doing in your life this last year/ update on yourself?

b) why are you choosing to work at camp this year?

c) how can people be praying for you and your role this summer? 

3) profile picture to add to the prayer card we will be sending with each letter. Send this to me or to our office email below.

 

Once you submit your letter, we will review it and we can suggest any adjustments needed. If you are wanting us to just plug in your information to a form letter we can do that and have you review it as well. We may ask for you to add amount you would need to raise listed on you Compensation Statement in the letter so that people know what the goal would be. You are welcome to round the figure down or up to a comprehensive number; to the nearest $100 or $500).

You can choose to send out a 1) traditional letter or 2) use a more colorful pamphlet (example pictured below) with the information and pictures of camp on it. What is your preference?

*Staff camp closing is an optional event at the end of the summer to help us celebrate and clean up the camp after the summer is done.

Hellooooo Summer Staffers,

I am excited for the upcoming summer season. Thank you for taking time to be part of it.  Please consider the following items before arriving on site.

  • Tax Paperwork: If you are getting paid, you can also start to fill out the tax paperwork ahead of time to bring with you to training with a copy of your social security card (or birth certificate) and an state issued ID.  

  • Support Letters: We are ready to start sending those out. Please start providing us with the necessary information.  We will need a list of names and addresses, a profile picture, and your letter (or information to put into a premade letter).  See below for details.
